Why are some materials superior to the big box store’s fence materials?
We sometimes hear “But I can buy it at ____ for 50 cents less than that!”. In fence material, whether it is t-posts, barbwire, vinyl panels, ornamental panels, chainlink fabric, or pipe posts, there are many weights or gauges. The lighter the gauge (usually the higher the number), the less likely you are that it will hold up in our southern Utah winds and extreme temperatures. Beware of buying the light gauge posts, wire, and vinyl products. Always insist that all vinyl products are reinforced with a metal rail in the bottom vinyl rail. Otherwise, you will notice it sagging and coming apart within a year or so. Taylor and Arnold Button understand the need for quality material and they only quote the better products.
